ASS 1 - Essay Writing

STUDENTS WERE REQUIRED TO WRITE AN ESSAY FOR ONE OF THE FOLLOWING TOPIC:

1. Children over 15 should be allowed to make decisions about their lives without the inference of their parents. Society should accept that children mature at a younger age these days and should adjust the law accordingly. What do you think are the causes and effects of this condition? Plan your response, and then write a cause or effect essay.

2. Write a compare or contrast essay about any two unique buildings of your choice. You need to choose existing buildings and state their locations.

3. Identify the steps involved in producing an attractive art piece. Then, write a process essay to describe this process.

REFLECTION:

Writing a perfect essay is too difficult to me. Although i learn to write an essay since i am in primary school, but i will try my best. Our tutor Miss Thivilojana helps me a lot when teaching or give information to us since having lecture class.She also ask us to write a pre-writing, this fact help me a lots to write my essay.I felt my english become much more better now.Through this assignment, I have learnt about different types of pre-writing techniques such as listing, scratch outline, mind map, and more. i also learnt the thesis statement , topic sentence , general sentence and specific sentence.I will try my best to improve my english writing skills and challenge to get A in next semester.
